Yimu is a lighting object inspired by the eaves and ceramic tiles of traditional Chinese architecture. The work abstracts an architectural element originally designed for shelter and transitions into a contemporary domestic light.

Yimu translates cultural background through material texture and symbolic meaning. Porcelain references everyday domestic ceramics, grounding the object in lived experience, while restrained blue detailing emphasises handcraft and material presence.
